New
Coastal Highway

A
new Coastal Highway (Carretera Costera) is being planned
and scheduled for completion in 2009. This two-lane
Coastal Highway will run adjacent to the Sea of Cortez.
It will run from El Golfo de Santa Clara, through
Rocky Point to Guayamas. The first leg of the highway
will cover 83 miles from El Golfo de Santa Clara (South
of Yuma) to Rocky Point. Completion of the 83 mile
highway is planned for October 2006. |
