Pinacate Biosphere Reserve Conservation – Explore the Pinacate craters located at the halfway town (Nayarit) between Sonoyta and Rocky Point. The Gran Pinacate and Gran Desierto de Altar Biosphere Reserve is considered one of the most unique volcanic zones in the world. The conservation of these gigantic craters and the surrounding areas are an important part of ancient history and culture. Self guided tours are available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Visitors must register at the office as they enter the reserve. Located on Hwy. 8 at KM76.

Pancho Villa Restaurant & RV Park is located on a 60 acre site in the Pinacate Biosphere Reserve. The restaurant serves American & Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Pink Boat - aka The Merry Margarita. Offers large and small group fishing (up to 20 fishermen), tackle, bait and all you can drink beer and margaritas. Fishing, Boating, and Permits:

You will need a boat permit and a fishing permit. Fishing without a license is prohibited. Boat permits are available from 1 month to 1 year and prices range from approximately $30 - $2,100 depending on the size of your craft. You will need a certificate of title to your boat. Individual fishing permits are available per person for approximately $10/day; $22/week; $32/month and $42.00/year. Fishing from the beach is free. You can get fishing permits in Rocky Point or at the Mexican Consulate in Phoenix.

Boat Launching:
